Palmer Bruyn offer the latest in state-of-the-art technology for all their land management services. The office is fully computer networked and provides easy access to all information and the processing of data. Our technology includes:

Engineering Design & Drafting Software

We utilise the latest programs for planning mapping and engineering for our various projects. These include Autodesk Land Desktop 2004 including Autodesk Map 2004, AutoCAD 2004 and Advanced Road Design V4 (2004).

Using Land Desktop, we can create, maintain, output, and analyse all the data in your land development project. We can utilise and update GIS (Geographical Information Systems) databases, create DTM (Digital Terrain Model’s) of any land and use the data to quickly and efficiently design complex three dimensional structures at the press of a button such as roadways and pipelines including stormwater drainage, sewerage and water reticulation, small to large subdivisions for residential, industrial or commercial uses.

Animations and “fly overs” can be done to better portray a proposed site and more effectively convey proposed designs to the client, approving authorities or the general public.
Data can be output in formats considered standard for the 21st Century in three dimensions for use with your architects or further consultants via all expected formats such as email and compact discs.

Survey Software (ACSCG)

Our Australian survey software is part of the Australian Consulting Surveyors Computer Group (ACSCG) which is a division of the Institution of Surveyors. The software is designed specifically for surveying use and is updated continually. Designing of lot layouts, contouring, topography, roads and drainage, sewerage and water reticulation. This software has been largely replaced by the aforementioned Engineering Design Software.

Computer Aided Drafting (CAD)

Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) is used for almost 100% of our drawing work and is compatible with all existing software for ease of data transference throughout the industry. The CAD program is an efficient and accurate electronic drafting tool for any size output of plans, in full colour (if required) producing copies fast and accurately in conjunction with our state-of-the-art plotting, printing and copying facilities.
